The College has been excelling in sports for over decades. Every year the College holds Sports Carnival, Inter-class matches and Sports Day. For proper training and grooming of players the College provides coaching facilities to the players for different games.The College campus has large open ground for outdoor sports activities. The College has teams for Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, etc...

The Seminar Room is a spacious, fully air-conditioned venue with a seating capacity of 200+ participants, designed to support a wide range of academic and professional activities. It is one of the state-of-the-art facilities of the college, offering a comfortable and well-equipped environment for learning and interaction. The hall is equipped with a high-quality projector integrated with a sound system and audio mixer, ensuring clear audio-visual delivery for presentations, lectures, and multimedia sessions. The Seminar Room is extensively used for guest lectures by eminent personalities, seminars, workshops, panel discussions, debates, council meetings, conferences, and various academic and society events, making it an ideal venue for both formal and interactive programs.
The institute provides well-equipped internet laboratories with high-speed connectivity, enabling students to access and explore unlimited information online. To maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment, food and drinks are not allowed in any of the computer rooms. The computing facilities include several well-equipped computer laboratories and a computer network laboratory. Most computer laboratories are free from scheduled classes at certain times and are available exclusively to students for assignments, practice, research, and internet access.
Each department has its own computer labs with internet connectivity of up to 100 Mbps through the NKN leased line, and all labs are interconnected to provide reliable network access.
College campuses pose many unique challenges when it comes to security. A video surveillance system must be carefully planned out in order to keep watch over the diverse assortment of facilities that comprise a typical campus community. A system of properly installed campus security cameras will go a long way in ensuring the safety of students, faculty, and facilities on campus.
Campus is secured with 55 CCTV cameras connected with central monitoring system to monitor the class room activities from principal office and from DTE office.
Video allows colleges to expand globally at much less cost. A video conference is a live communications connection between people in separate locations involving audio, video, and often data transmission (text, graphics, PowerPoint presentations, sharing Word or Excel documents, etc.).

Government Engineering College, Modasa was established in 1984 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar in North Gujarat region with a view to spread out technical education in the region and hence promote industrial development. The institute was affiliated with Hemchandracharaya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan from 1984 to 2007. The institute is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad from 2008. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
